There is no better way to kick off The Sisko Day than with Star Trek: Deep Space Nine showrunner, Ira Steven Behr, joining The 7th Rule to share his views on the groundbreaking show than he ran for seven years and how important it was and is.
First Contact Day. Frontier Day. Captain Picard Day. Over the years, we've celebrated events and individuals who have helped shape and guide the growth of the United Federation of Planets. Now comes a new day recognizing the life, service, and accomplishments of one of the Federation's greatest heroes - Captain Benjamin Sisko. Proposed by his son, Jake Sisko (Cirroc Lofton), The Sisko Day celebrates a father, The Emmissary to the Prophets, a leader, and friend.
Why May 22nd? This date correlates to Stardate 46388.2, the date that then Commander Benjamin Sisko first took command of station Deep Space Nine. This date would mark the beginning of a journey that would change the course of history for not only the Federation, but for all in the Alpha and Gamma Quadrants.
Come join us for a day of music, laughter, insigts and fun as we present to you and all day event celebrating Captain Benjamin Sisko, The Sisko Day.
